Sera Helsinki rugs provide to improve the living standards of the artisans by empowering the most vulnerable groups in Ethiopia: people with disabilities and single mothers.Combiningmodern Finnish design with traditional Ethiopian craftsmanship: Laine means ‘wave’ in Finnish. Anna Pirkola,the designer, was influenced by the movement of the ocean which is always different, just as every rug is unique due to its hand made nature.
